Amanda Hardin was a contestant of Top Shot Season Three and a member of the Red Team.

Amanda was eliminated during Week One, after losing an Elimination Challenge against Mark Schneider.

Amanda is an NRA certified firearms instructor, registered nurse and commercial real estate broker from Birmingham, Alabama. She goes running, though she hates it, works out, shoots various guns, and tries finding life's "next adventure". She has competed in the International Defensive Pistol Association, the United States Practical Shooting Association, and has recently taken up sporting clays.

Week One

Amanda arrived for Season Three of Top Shot along with the other fifteen contestants. Here, Colby Donaldson, the host of the competition, announced that a Preliminary Challenge would determine which team the contestants would be on. In pairs, the contestants would shoot head-to-head against each other using the Smith & Wesson 500 Magnum at three targets. The loser of each pair would become a member of the Red Team, while the victorious would become a member of the Blue Team.

After three pairs had already competed, Colby announced that Amanda would have to shoot against the only other female shooter, Sara Ahrens. Amanda hit the first target before Sara, but her opponent was able to take out the second before her. After a few shots, Amanda was forced to reload the weapon, which gave Sara enough time to hit her third and final target, resulting in Amanda's loss and place on the Red Team. After all of the contestants had competed, Colby allowed them to go to the house they would be staying in during the competition. The Red Team arrived here first, allowing them to claim first dibs on the bunk beds. As a result, all the Red Team members ended up with bottom bunks, to their satisfaction.

Later that day, the teams arrived at the Shooting Range to participate in the first Team Challenge. Here, they noticed platforms and targets in the distance. After all sixteen contestants got situated, Colby announced that using the Larue Tactical OBR, two contestants would get up onto a platform and shoot two adjacent targets. He then stated that to get onto the platforms, the contestants would not be using the ladders built on, but sixteen foot poles that they would have to carry to each platform. Whichever of the teams could finish in the quickest amount of time would be victorious. Red Team started off to a bit of a rough start. However, after the third station, the Red Team was able to gain a lead over the Blue Team. Amanda and Chris Collins, who were set to shoot for the fourth station, made their ways up the pole to the final platform, being closely followed by Alex Charvat and Mike Hughes of the Blue Team. She had struggle hitting her target, but was able to hit it after ten rounds. She gave the weapon to Chris to try to hit his target, but Alex, who was the last to shoot for Blue Team, hit his target, resulting in Red Team's defeat.

When the Red Team returned back to the house, they held a short team meeting on who to send to the upcoming Elimination Challenge. Here, Amanda volunteered herself due to her poor performance in the Team Challenge. A few hours later, the Red Team arrived at the Nomination Range to vote for two people to go to the Elimination Challenge. By the time it was her turn to vote, she had already gained a spot in the upcoming challenge due to having four votes. Amanda ended up shooting the target of Mark Schneider, stating that he had a sort of panicky personality, which could possibly weaken the Red Team.

The following morning, Amanda and Mark got up to attend a Practice Session to get prepared for the Elimination Challenge. Here, Colby announced that they would be shooting a Winchester Model 1873 in a sitting position. To help them with this was cowboy shooting expert, Jim Finch. Amanda did well with shooting the weapon and was very fond of it. Later that day, the Red Team left the house to witness the first Elimination Challenge. Here, Colby stated that while riding in a stagecoach, the two contestants would try to shoot as many of the ten targets with the ten rounds given. Whoever ended with the most points would stay in the competition and gain a $2000 dollar gift card. After Mark's run, it was Amanda's turn to shoot. She managed to hit the first target, but wasn't able to destroy any of the targets afterward, resulting in her loss and elimination. Before Amanda's departure, she said goodbye to her fellow Red Team members and stated that she still felt like a badass for getting to participate in the competition.
