Billy Rogers is a contestant of Top Shot Season Three and member of the Blue Team.

Billy voluntarily withdrew from the competition during Week Seven, to be with his wife who suffered complications during her pregnancy.

Personal life

Billy was the manager of Hollywood Billiards, in Calabasas, California. He was also the regional manager for restaurant Freebirds for about six months. Billy is now working with Cinepolis also as regional manager. He was originally from Virginia Beach. Billy has trained with some of the most-known shooters in the United States, including the multi-gun champion, Taran Butler, who had entered Billy in a local match, in which Billy won eighth place out of 70 professional shooters. He has experience with rifles, shotguns, pistols, and bows. Billy also enjoys surfing, mountain biking, and riding his motorcycles. At home, he has a wife and 2 children, one of which he missed the birth of to compete in Top Shot.

Top Shot

Week One

Billy arrived for Top Shot along with the other fifteen contestants. Here, Colby Donaldson, the host of the competition, stated that the placement of each individual would be determined by a Preliminary Challenge. In pairs, the contestants would shoot head-to-head using the Smith & Wesson 500 Magnum at three targets. Whichever of the pair could hit all of the targets first would be victorious and become a member of the Blue Team, while the loser joined the Red Team.

After six pairs had competed, Colby called Billy and Drew Shprintz to shoot. Shortly after Drew hit the first target, Billy was able to destroy his first target. He then hit the second and third targets before Drew could hit his final target, resulting in Billy's victory and spot on the Blue Team. After the final pair competed, Colby allowed the contestants to head to the house they would be staying in during the competition. However, the Red Team arrived here first, claiming the bottom bunks of the beds, giving the Blue Team a limited choice on where to sleep.

The following day, the contestants arrived at the Shooting Range to participate in the first Team Challenge. Here, they noticed a number of platforms set up with targets in the distance. After the contestants had gotten situated, Colby explained that for the challenge, two contestants would be assigned to one of the four platforms for their team. Once on these, they would each destroy a target with the Larue Tactical OBR before proceeding to the next station. He then stated that the contestants would not be climbing onto these platforms using the ladders built on, but a sixteen foot pole which had to be carried to each station. Whichever of the teams finished first would be victorious. Before engaging in the challenge, the teams had to decide on their shooting order, with the Blue Team choosing Billy and Dustin Ellermann for the first station. Once both men had climbed onto the platform, Dustin began firing at his target, destroying it on the first shot. He handed the Larue to Billy, who was also able to hit his target on the first shot, giving the Blue Team an early lead. This early lead had diminished at the third station, due to struggles with hitting the targets. However, at the final station, the Blue Team was able to catch up with their opponents, where they destroyed the final two targets, resulting in Blue Team's victory.

When the contestants returned to the house, the Red Team held a team meeting, while the Blue Team went to the kitchen. Here, Dustin read some encouraging verses from the bible. He concluded by saying that as he was reading this, he thought, "sucks to be Red", which was humorous to many members of the Blue Team. Later that day, the Red Team left to go to the Nomination Range two vote two people into the Elimination Challenge. When they returned, it was announced that Amanda Hardin and Mark Schneider had been sent to the challenge. The following day, the Red Team departed once again to witness this challenge. They returned with Mark, who nailed a red target bearing Amanda's name to the wall, in tribute to her.

Week Two

The morning after Amanda's elimination, the Blue Team decided to prepare for the upcoming Team Challenge by reenacting the previous Team Challenge using a golf club as a "firearm" and a table as the platforms. Later, they returned to the Shooting Range to attend a Practice Session. Here, Colby stated that the contestants would need to get accustomed to shooting the AK-47 under guidance by Craig Sawyer. Here, Billy did well with shooting the weapon, and the Blue Team walked away confident that they would win the next challenge.

The following day, the contestants arrived at the Shooting Range to participate in the second Team Challenge. Here, four obstacles and stations were set up. The first was a pipe that needed to be crawled through. Next was a pit of water, which was followed by a crawl through mud and then sand under barbed wire. Two contestants would be assigned to each station, with an exception of the final one, and would have to endure the obstacles standing in their way. Once at these stations, each contestant would destroy a target each using the AK-47, with an exception of the last, where one individual had to destroy two targets. Whichever team finished the course first would be victorious. Before participating in the challenge and deciding on the shooting order, the Red Team had to decide who to sit out on the Blue Team, due to having one less member after Amanda's elimination. They ultimately decided to sit out Jarrett Grimes. After this, each team had to determine its shooting order, with the Blue Team deciding on Billy and Dustin for the first station. After Billy and Dustin made it out of their pipes and to the first station, the latter began firing at his target, destroying it on his first shot. Billy then fired, also hitting his target in one shot. As soon as Sara Ahrens and Alex Charvat, the next shooters for Blue Team, made it to the first station, Billy and Dustin handed them their weapons, being closely followed by the Red Team. At the third station, Blue Team became behind. Jake Zweig, the last shooter for the Blue Team, made it to the last station, but wasn't able to get any shots off before Chris Collins, Red Team's last shooter, destroyed both of his targets, resulting in Blue Team's defeat.

When the Blue Team returned to the house, they held their first team meeting. It was difficult for many of the contestants to decide who to nominate, but many stated they would vote for Sara. Later, they arrived at the Nomination Range to vote two people into the Elimination Challenge. The votes were cast by shooting the target of the person each individual wanted to nominate. When Billy was called up, there were already two votes towards Sara and one towards Dustin. He voted for Dustin, because he saw it easier to even out the votes. However, Dustin didn't like this vote, so he ended up voting for Billy to call things even. After everybody had casted their votes, it was declared that Dustin and Sara were to compete for their spot on the competition.

The following day, the Blue Team arrived at the Shooting Range to witness their first Elimination Challenge. Here, Colby announced that, using the Smith & Wesson M&P .45, Dustin and Sara would shoot at red foe targets situated on a rotating cylinder while trying to avoid hitting the blue friend targets. Whichever of the two ended up with the most points in a minute would be safe and receive a $2000 gift card. In the end, Dustin was victorious, having gained 23 points in comparison to Sara's 11. After this, the Blue Team returned to the house, where Dustin nailed a blue target bearing Sara's name to the wall.
